Welcome to the team!

Please work your way through our Induction. You will need to complete different sections depending on your job role. If you have any questions, have technical difficulties, or are not sure about something, please contact the Office Manager via email info@soilcyclers.com.au or on 1300 748 388. There is a short quiz at the end of the process to check your knowledge.

Site Procedures Manual

All site staff (both permanent and temporary) should read the Site Procedures Manual. Plan to read this again at the end of your first week. Allow 30 mins – 1 hr.

Employee Handbook

All permanent staff (both site staff and office staff) should read through the Employee Handbook and raise anything they’re not sure about with the Office Manager. Casual and temporary staff (both site staff and office staff) can skim this document rather than reading the entire thing. Allow 1 – 2 hours.

Master Screening Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS)

All site staff (both permanent and temporary) should read the Master Screening SWMS or watch the video [link video found on intranet under training] Allow 25 minutes. If you have any questions, please ask your Leading Hand during your first day onsite.

Plant Risk Assessments

All site staff must watch the Trommel Screens Familiarisation Video. If you are not sure about anything in the video, raise your questions with your Leading Hand, or the Plant Manager if you are a Leading Hand, as soon as possible when on site.

Trommel Screens Familiarisation Video (COMING SOON)

All site staff (both permanent and temporary) should review the Plant Risk Assessments for any machinery they will be operating. Leading Hands – read all Plant Risk Assessments. Allow 1 hour Trainee Plant Operators – read skid steer and loader Plant Risk Assessments. Allow 30 minutes. Ensure you return and read the excavator Plant Risk Assessment when your Leading Hand decides you are ready to operate the excavator. Loader Operators – read the loader Plant Risk Assessment. Allow 30 minutes. Labourers – you will not need to read any Plant Risk Assessments unless advised to do so

Read our electronic signature policy. If you agree, please use a black marker to sign a white piece of paper. Take a photo and send to danni@soilcyclers.com.au. If you do not agree, please contact the Office Manager on 1300 748 388 to discuss. Please also send photos or scans of the below to danni@soilcyclers.com.au:
  •  Driver’s licence (both front and back)
  •  White (or blue) card (both front and back)
  •  Medicare card (required to sign you up for external training)
  •  Any machinery tickets/RIIs/certificates/qualifications
Finally, download and save the Training Matrix and Performance Review Template for your position.

Take a photo and email to danni@soilcyclers.com.au. If you are site staff and have read the Master Screening SWMS, include written permission in the email to Danni for her to apply your electronic signature in the office. If you do not agree to us keeping your signature on file, organise to sign a hard copy in person at the office. In the same or a separate email to danni@soilcyclers.com.au, provide clear photos or scans of your driver’s licence (both front and back), white (or blue) card (both front and back), medicare card (this is required to sign you up for any formal training), and any machinery tickets/RIIs/certificates/qualifications. Download and save the Training Matrix  for your position. All staff (not just trainees) will be required to fill this out periodically during employment. Download and save the Performance Review Template  for your position. Labourers and Truck Drivers should use the general template. You will need to fill this out for each performance review, which are held after 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year of employment, and every 12 months thereafter for site crew and every 6 months thereafter for admin staff.
